Ejuris is committed to maintaining a paperless legal office through the secure online storage of legal files on behalf of its clients. The storage of paper files in warehouses or filing cabinets is no longer required with use of the ejuris system. Ejuris offers legal file/document storage on its servers while a file is active and for ten (10) years following its closure. Upon the closure of a legal file, you will receive an electronic copy of your file and at your request we will also forward to you a copy of the file on a portable storage device.
At all times, the information and data stored on the ejuris system remains the sole and exclusive property of the law firm and its client.
The ejuris system permits a law firm to grant a client access to all or a portion of their legal file. Where file access is permitted, your client will receive a confidential ejuris username and password upon a file being opened within the ejuris system. Your client will then have access to the legal file/document management application, all ejuris collaboration features and the calendar and contacts book as it relates to that particular file.

The document image viewer contains a real-time document commenting feature that permits lawyers and clients to post comments to any document within the ejuris system for review and discussion. Multiple parties can collaborate on a document simultaneously and those comments are permanently stored to the particular file within the ejuris system.
The ejuris video/telephone conferencing feature allows you to conduct video and telephone conferences with clients and colleagues. The video/telephone conferencing feature also facilitates conferencing between more than two parties simultaneously. In conjunction with other program features, the ejuris video conferencing feature is an efficient way to conduct meetings, discoveries or other events requiring the participation of individuals in different locations.
Ejuris incorporates an instant messaging feature that permits lawyers to communicate with staff, colleagues and clients who are simultaneously logged into the ejuris system. This feature also permits instant messaging conversations between more than two participants.
The ejuris system automatically adds lawyers, staff, clients and data room invitees to your instant messenger contacts list. The instant messenger feature also includes an ability to remove yourself from any instant messaging conversation at any time and to block others from conversing with you should you desire privacy.
The ejuris automated email notification application is designed to keep you and your client informed of all activity on a legal file. Automated email notifications can be delivered to clients and colleagues upon:
a) the creation of a legal file or data room;
b) a document being uploaded into the ejuris program;
c) a comment being added to a document;

The ejuris system facilitates the creation of a virtual data room to host and upload documents for viewing and collaboration. A data room can be accessed by any person invited by the host lawyer and all invitees will have access to the file/document management application and all ejuris communication/collaboration features.
The ejuris legal data room feature permits a lawyer and others granted permission by the host, to post documents to a virtual room for viewing and review. The data room makes use of the ejuris legal file/document management application and is an excellent tool for lawyers to exchange document production electronically and to facilitate transactions. The ejuris system also facilitates the customized organization of any data room to suit your file management needs.
Each time a data room is created, those invited into the data room are furnished with a secure invitation by email notification. Upon receipt of an invitation to a data room, invitees will receive automated notifications when new materials are posted and have access to all other ejuris program features.

We recognize that converting from a traditional file management system to a paperless office can create transitional concerns. In order to facilitate the seamless transition to the ejuris system, we have developed a file conversion application that permits you to transfer all of your existing files and any new file content to the ejuris system by merely dragging and dropping those materials from your desktop into the ejuris file conversion desktop utility. The file conversion utility also allows you to drag and drop entire file folders into the ejuris system without compromising the organizational structure of your existing files. The file conversion application also allows you to create new active legal files directly from your desktop without having to log into the ejuris system.
A conflict search feature is built into the ejuris system to assist lawyers and law firms with file opening procedures. Each time a file opening procedure is commenced, a conflict search is automatically performed. If a potential conflict exists, you will be immediately alerted and furnished with information to assist you with your assessment as to whether a conflict may jeopardize your retainer. Every time your law firm creates a new file within the ejuris system, the results of your conflict search are saved to your file and your firms’ conflicts database is updated.
The ejuris calendar permits you to keep track of all appointments and events with a simple and easy-to-use interface. The calendar is also equipped with the ability to set-up automated email reminders to all parties participating in an upcoming appointment or event. Where permitted by the host lawyer, your client can be granted access to view the calendar associated with their file.
A limitation system is also built into the calendar feature which permits lawyers to create, customize and manage all limitation reminders. Automated notifications can be sent to all those selected by the host lawyer to serve as reminders of pending critical deadlines.
The ejuris system maintains a contacts book for each lawyer which is automatically updated each time contact information for a client or opposing lawyer is entered into the system. You can customize the organization of your contacts book and view all of your contacts within your global database or for any specific file.
The ejuris email application allows you to quickly and conveniently send emails from your email program directly into the ejuris system. Once an email is in the ejuris email application, you can drag and drop any email and its attachments into any active file or data room. No more email clutter or wasted paper from printing countless emails.
